The Mission: To help people rediscover the importance of light in their lives. From daylight and sunlight to red light therapy and optimizing nighttime light for better sleep, the goal is to show you the incredible health benefits light can offer. I believe that photobiomodulation has a place in every home, and I am dedicated to making light therapy an integral part of every Scandinavian household. Improved daylight exposure, effective red light therapy, and blue light blocking solutions all contribute to better health outcomes for everyone.

Who am I?

About Me: I’m Dominic Lamb, a 39-year-old British expat living in Drammen, Norway. As a devoted father, my journey began with a desire to improve my own health so I could enjoy every moment with my daughter, free from pain, illness, and lack of energy. This personal mission led to the creation of lighttherapy.no.

With 16 years of experience in the health and fitness industry, I’ve dedicated my career to coaching parents, lecturing in colleges and universities, and helping people gain the knowledge to enhance their health. Moving to Norway opened my eyes to the critical role of light in our well-being. My light therapy journey started here, driven by extensive research and a passion for finding the best products to support health and recovery.

Why Red light Therapy?

My interest in red light therapy stems from a personal health challenge. Half my lifetime ago, I broke my ankle, which led to severe damage to the blood vessels in the bone, causing the bone to deteriorate. Multiple surgeries followed, and I now live with an ankle comparable to that of a 100-year-old. In addition to my ankle issues, I’ve faced heart infections resulting in an irregular heartbeat and bouts of depression.

6 years ago, after my latest ankle surgery and a subsequent period of depression, I experienced a shift in mindset. I began with simple walks outside, which gradually improved my well-being. This led to deeper research into the benefits of light exposure, particularly specific wavelengths for recovery, pain relief, and boosting energy levels to keep up with my young daughter.

By July 2019, I felt confident enough in my knowledge to start sharing the wonders of red and near-infrared light therapy with others. My philosophy is simple: start with natural daylight to enhance your health, and then consider light therapy for additional benefits, especially if you’re dealing with pain, inflammation, or skin issues.
