Refunds and Returns Policy – Home Light Therapy
I want you to feel completely confident when buying from Home Light Therapy. Below is everything you need to know about returns, refunds and warranties. If anything isn't clear, just get in touch — admin@lighttherapy.no.

Your Statutory Right of Withdrawal (Angrerett)
As a consumer purchasing from a Norwegian online store, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act (angrerettloven). This means you can cancel your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order without giving any reason.
To exercise this right, contact me at admin@lighttherapy.no within 14 days of delivery. You can use the standard Norwegian withdrawal form (angreskjema), available from Forbrukertilsynet.no, though this is not required — a clear written statement is sufficient.
Once you have notified me, you have a further 14 days to return the item. I will refund the full purchase price minus original shipping costs within 14 days of receiving the returned item, provided it is returned in the same condition as received.
Exceptions to the statutory withdrawal right — under angrerettloven, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- Goods that cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed or used — this includes vaginal wands, oral light therapy devices, and opened grounding bedding and sheets
- Custom-made or personalised goods (such as bespoke OptiBio panels)
- Sealed goods where the seal has been broken after delivery and the goods cannot be returned for hygiene reasons
These exclusions exist under Norwegian law, not as a policy choice. Your other statutory rights (including warranty rights) are not affected.
30-Day Money Back Guarantee
On top of your statutory rights, I offer a 30-day money back guarantee on most products. If you change your mind for any reason within 30 days of delivery, return the item and I will refund your full purchase price minus the original shipping costs.
How it works:
- Contact me at admin@lighttherapy.no before sending anything back
- Return the item in its original condition with all packaging, parts and accessories included
- Return shipping costs are your responsibility
- If you received free shipping, the actual shipping cost will be deducted from your refund
- No restocking fees
Products excluded from the 30-day guarantee:
- Vaginal wands and intimate use devices — excluded for hygiene reasons once unsealed
- Oral light therapy devices — excluded for hygiene reasons once unsealed
- Grounding bedding, sheets and pillowcases — can only be returned unused, unwashed and in original packaging. Once used or washed, these cannot be returned unless defective
- Clearance items and ex-demo units — your statutory warranty rights still apply
- Gift cards and downloadable products
- Custom OptiBio orders — the 30-day period begins from the shipping date, not the purchase date
Return Conditions
To be eligible for a return under either the statutory withdrawal right or the 30-day guarantee:
- The item must be in the same condition as received
- All original packaging, parts and accessories must be included
- Proof of purchase is required
If an item is returned showing signs of use or damage not caused by a manufacturing fault, I reserve the right to make a reasonable deduction from the refund to reflect the reduction in value.
Refunds
Once I receive and inspect your return, I will notify you whether it has been approved. If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within a few business days — though your bank or card provider may take a few additional days to show it in your account.
Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you received free shipping, the actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund.
Faulty or Defective Items
If your item arrives damaged or develops a fault, I will cover return shipping costs and either replace or refund the item in full. Contact me at admin@lighttherapy.no as soon as you notice the issue and I will sort it out.
Warranty
All products are covered by a warranty against defects in materials or workmanship under normal use:
- Standard products: 12 months
- Larger light therapy panels: 24 or 36 months depending on model — contact me if you are unsure which applies to yours
- Grounding bedding: 12 months against manufacturing defects
Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, modifications, or damage caused by using the product outside the provided instructions.
During the first 30 days, I cover all shipping costs for warranty claims. After 30 days, return shipping to me is your responsibility and I cover shipping back to you.
Your statutory warranty rights under Norwegian consumer law (forbrukerkjøpsloven) apply independently of this warranty and are not limited by it.
Grounding Bedding
Grounding sheets, pillowcases and mats may only be returned if unused, unwashed and in their original packaging. For hygiene reasons, used or washed bedding cannot be returned unless it is defective.
Covered defects include broken grounding connections, faulty stitching or other manufacturing faults. Normal wear and tear, discolouration or damage from washing outside the care instructions are not covered.
Custom Orders (OptiBio)
Custom-made OptiBio units are charged at the time of order. The 30-day return period begins from the shipping date. As these are made to your specification, the statutory right of withdrawal does not apply under angrerettloven.
Gifts
If an item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, I will issue a gift credit for the value of the return. If it was not marked as a gift, the refund goes to the original purchaser.

For items valued over 1500 NOK, I strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service or taking out shipping insurance. I cannot be responsible for returns lost in transit.
Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven't received your refund, please first check your bank account. Then contact your card provider or bank — it can take a few business days for a refund to appear. If you have done both and still haven't received it, contact me at admin@lighttherapy.no and I will look into it straight away.

If you are not satisfied with how I have handled a return or complaint, you have the right to contact:
