Purchase Options & Cancellation Policy – Home Light Therapy
Some products at Home Light Therapy are available as pre-orders or as bespoke custom builds. This page explains how these purchases work, what your cancellation rights are, and how refunds are handled in each case.

Pre-Orders
A pre-order means you are purchasing a product that is not yet in stock or not yet available. This is sometimes the case with new panel models or items temporarily out of stock.
Payment: Most pre-orders are charged in full at the time of purchase. In some cases — particularly for higher-value items — I may arrange a partial deposit at checkout with the balance charged when your order ships. If this applies to your order, it will be clearly stated on the product page and confirmed at checkout.
Estimated timeframes: I will always provide an estimated dispatch date at the time of purchase and will keep you updated if anything changes. If there is a significant delay, I will contact you proactively.
Cancelling a Pre-Order
You may cancel a pre-order at any time before it has been dispatched and receive a full refund with no fee. Once your pre-order has shipped, the standard Refunds and Returns Policy applies — including your 30-day money back guarantee and your statutory rights under angrerettloven.
To cancel a pre-order, contact me at admin@lighttherapy.no as soon as possible.
Bespoke Custom-Built Panels (OptiBio)
Bespoke panels are designed and built specifically for you — your chosen wavelengths, configuration and size. Because they are made to your individual specification, they cannot be resold as standard stock.
Payment: Full payment is taken upfront for all bespoke orders. This is necessary because components are ordered and production is scheduled specifically for your build.
Your Right of Withdrawal on Bespoke Orders
Under the Norwegian Right of Withdrawal Act (angrerettloven), the statutory 14-day withdrawal right does not apply to goods that are made to a customer's individual specification. This is a provision of Norwegian law, not a policy choice. By placing a bespoke order, you are acknowledging that the standard withdrawal right does not apply to your purchase.
This does not affect your warranty rights — all bespoke panels are fully covered by warranty against manufacturing defects (see below).
Cancellation Before Production Starts
If you need to cancel your bespoke order before production has begun — meaning before I have ordered your specific components or started the build — I will refund you in full with no cancellation fee.
Contact me at admin@lighttherapy.no as soon as possible if you wish to cancel. I will confirm whether production has started and advise you accordingly.
Cancellation After Production Has Started
Once production has begun — meaning components have been ordered or the build is underway — a cancellation fee of 15% of the order value will be deducted from your refund. This fee covers the material and labour costs already incurred at that point. The remaining 85% will be refunded to your original payment method.
I will always tell you honestly whether production has started when you contact me to cancel.
Returns After Delivery (Change of Mind)
If you return a bespoke panel after delivery for reasons other than a fault or defect, the same 15% fee applies to cover production and handling costs. You are also responsible for return shipping. The remaining 85% of the purchase price (minus original shipping) will be refunded.
The 30-day return window begins from the shipping date for bespoke orders.
Why 15%?
Once I begin work on a custom panel, I have already committed to specific components, materials and build time that cannot be recovered or reused for a standard order. The 15% fee reflects these real costs — it is not a penalty for changing your mind. It is what allows me to keep offering bespoke builds without passing the risk of cancellations onto other customers.
If you have any concerns about this before ordering, please talk to me first. I would rather have that conversation upfront.
Faulty or Defective Bespoke Panels
If your bespoke panel arrives damaged or develops a fault covered by the warranty, the 15% fee does not apply. Faulty items are handled under the full warranty with no deductions and no quibble — I will repair, replace or refund as appropriate.
Warranty on Custom Builds
Bespoke OptiBio panels carry the same warranty as standard panels — 24 or 36 months depending on the configuration. If you are unsure which applies to your build, I will confirm this at the time of your order.
Warranty covers manufacturing defects and component failures under normal use. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, modification or use outside the provided instructions.
