How long should an LED face mask session last?
Between 10 and 20 minutes, three to five times a week. I run mine for 15 minutes most evenings. A longer session does not give you faster results, so stay inside the time your mask recommends and keep it regular. The BioWave Core is a flat 10 minutes.

Radiant Pro: five wavelengths with 1072nm deep near-infrared (trial pricing, 3 990 kr)
This is the most capable face mask I have sold. It has five wavelengths, 400 LEDs and medical grade silicone. The new part is 1072nm near-infrared, which reaches the deeper layers of the skin where age-related changes start. It has three modes, and each one pairs near-infrared with a colour: NIR with blue, NIR with yellow, or NIR with red. A blue light acne session also gets anti-inflammatory NIR, and a red light collagen session reaches deeper tissue at the same time.
It is on trial pricing because I want customer feedback before I commit to it fully. There is no branding and no premium packaging. The Balance is for anyone who wants to control the protocol, especially with pigmentation, melasma or acne. You choose which wavelengths run. It is compact, it charges by USB, and it has four dedicated modes.
Four wavelengths
- 415nm blue light targets acne bacteria at the surface
- 590nm yellow light regulates melanin, which is why it is used for dark spots and uneven skin tone. It runs on its own here, unlike the Pro
- 630nm red light stimulates collagen, skin renewal and fine lines

BioWave Core Face Mask: the simple one (2 540 kr)
This is the mask I originally stocked as my go-to, because it is so easy. It has dual-chip LEDs running 630nm red and 830nm near-infrared. You plug it in, run it for 10 minutes, and you are done. There are no modes to learn and nothing to set up.
Think of it as the face mask in my BioWave Core line, alongside the DeskBuddy BioWave Core panel. Great value, and simple to use. If your goal is general skin renewal and collagen support, it does that job. If you have melasma, or acne that needs blue light, choose the Radiant Balance or Radiant Pro instead.

Cleanse
Start with clean, product-free skin so nothing blocks the light.
Switch on
With the Core, just switch it on. With the Pro and the Balance, pick the mode that matches your concern.
10 to 20 minutes
Eyes closed or goggles on. The Core is a flat 10 minutes. The others run to auto shutoff.
3 to 5 times a week
Regular use beats long sessions. Daily beats occasional.
What each wavelength does for your skin
Different wavelengths reach different depths and act on different structures. This is why a mask with blue light and a mask without it suit different problems, and why hudpleie with light is less about colour and more about matching the wavelength to the goal.

Build a fuller routine around your mask
- The mask covers your face only. For neck, chest and body, a red light panel such as the BioWave Core DeskBuddy does the rest.
- If you mask in the evening, swap your bulbs for blue-light-free evening bulbs from the circadian lighting collection, so your sleep is not disturbed afterwards.

The 1072nm wavelength is why the Radiant Pro deserves your attention. Most LED masks stop at 830nm or 850nm near-infrared. That works, but it does not reach the sub-dermal layers where structural ageing happens. The catch is that NIR is in every mode, so you cannot run yellow on its own, which makes the Pro the wrong mask for melasma. For that, pre-order the Radiant Balance.
If you just want something easy that does a solid job at a fair price, the BioWave Core is the one I reached for first. Plug in, ten minutes, finished.

Hvor raskt ser jeg resultater med en LED-ansiktsmaske?
Most people notice better skin texture and glow within 2 to 4 weeks of regular use, at 3 to 5 sessions a week. Fine lines and wrinkles usually change from 6 to 8 weeks. Acne can respond in 2 to 3 weeks, but only with a mask that has blue light. Regular use matters more than session length.
