- Use a mild, natural detergent — no bleach, no fabric softener, no whitening agents
- Line dry or tumble dry on low heat — high heat degrades silver threads over time
- Do not iron — not necessary, and heat can damage conductivity
- Do not dry clean — chemical solvents destroy the silver
